RESUMEN (ABSTRACT)
"The Embrapa Eastern Amazon's mission is to provide ""feasible solutions for sustainable agriculture, agribusiness and forestry through research, development and innovation, and contribute to the conservation of the natural capital of the eastern Amazon in benefit of the society"" aiming Òto be a center of reference in sustainable production of agriculture, agribusiness, and forest the conservation of natural capital of the Amazon, by its contribution to knowledge, technology and innovation"". The responsibility to excellence in research and management of this institution represents a commitment to quality and safety of the products of agribusiness and the concern to increase its competitiveness in domestic and foreign markets. In this context, this study aimed to diagnose the physical and logistical of the Laboratory of Plant Pathology, in order to identify current problems, difficulties and possible adequateness to the Good Laboratory Practice (GLP). This study was based on the Principles of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), the Brazilian Regulatory Standard ISO/IEC 17 025, the rules of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and the Regulatory Standards of the Ministry of Labour and Employment related to the topic. The laboratory rooms were photographed and analyzed for identify of non-compliance of the physical structure and logistics and the equipment and experimental methodologies were analyzed to the preparation of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure). With the development of modern biotechnology is the undisputed worldwide concern about the importance of the implementation of biosafety norms as key area for research and generation of services and products."
